Sober Living
Pendo Homes operates as a sober living residence focused solely on providing safe housing. Residents choose to live in a substance-free environment and are expected to manage their own recovery, employment, healthcare, and personal responsibilities.
Pendo Homes does not provide medical, mental health, legal, correctional, or social services.
Drug Testing
Drug testing may be conducted by the house manager to verify compliance with house rules. Testing is non-clinical and is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition.

What is Sober Living?

Sober living refers to alcohol- and drug-free housing where individuals voluntarily choose to live in a substance-free environment. These homes are not treatment facilities and do not provide clinical or medical services.
Sober living residences operate with house rules, shared expectations, and peer accountability. Residents are responsible for managing their own recovery, employment, healthcare, and personal responsibilities while living in the home.
The purpose of sober living housing is to provide a stable living environment that supports accountability and personal responsibility through structure and community standards.

General Criteria for Residency at Pendo Homes
General criteria for residency at Pendo Homes include:
• A demonstrated commitment to maintaining a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle
• Willingness to comply with all house rules, policies, and curfews
• Respect for fellow residents, house managers, and shared living spaces
• Ability to live cooperatively in a shared household environment
The purpose of these requirements is to maintain a stable, alcohol- and drug-free living environment with clear expectations and accountability for all residents.
Drug Testing
Drug testing is conducted for house rule compliance only and is not a medical or clinical service.

If a resident is found to be in violation of the house sobriety rules, including a positive drug test, the resident may be required to leave the home in accordance with house policy.
Residents are responsible for addressing any disputes related to test results at their own expense. Pendo Homes does not provide medical or clinical testing services.
All enforcement actions are handled consistently with house rules and resident rights procedures to maintain a safe, alcohol- and drug-free living environment.
